Michael G. Newbold

Michael G. Newbold was born in 1950 and admitted to the Missouri Bar in 1977.  He is a 1973 graduate of St. Louis University, Cum Laude, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1976.

 

Mr. Newbold has litigated ERISA cases (including benefits claims) and labor cases in the Federal Courts of Kansas, Missouri and Texas.  Mr. Newbold’s experience includes hearings before various Federal, Missouri and Kansas administrative agencies.  He has also advised Fund clients in Department of Labor and Internal Revenue Service audits.  Mr. Newbold regularly attends Pension Fund, Welfare Fund, Vacation Fund and Training Fund Boards of Trustees meetings.  Mr. Newbold is a member of several organizations relating to employee benefits law and has been a speaker on ERISA at Kansas City Municipal Bar Association seminars and for the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans.
