Jason Kotlyarov

Mr. Kotlyarov attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City to receive his Bachelors of Science in Accounting (2010), Juris Doctor (2012), and LL.M. in Taxation (2013). During law school, Mr. Kotlyarov clerked for the Missouri State Public Defender (Jackson County Trial Division) and worked for the Tax Institute of H&R Block, helping provide legal tax guidance to tax professionals throughout the country. After graduating from law school, he moved to Springfield, MO to begin his career as a licensed attorney, primarily practicing Bankruptcy Law and Social Security/Disability Law. Mr. Kotlyarov returned to Kansas City, and, in October of 2015, opened his own law practice representing both individuals and businesses in regards to tax law, ERISA law, business law, civil litigation, and in a variety of other areas. Mr. Kotlyarov is a graduate of the Ross T. Roberts Trial Academy (2018). Mr. Kotlyarov joined Arnold, Newbold, Winter & Jackson, P.C. in May of 2018 and is focusing primarily on compliance related issues pertaining to employee benefits, as well as assisting with litigation matters as needed. Mr. Kotlyarov was named a Missouri/Kansas Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2018. 


In regard to community involvement, Mr. Kotlyarov has previously served on the Bacchus Foundation, the Nelson-Atkins Young Friends of Art summer party planning committee, the YourKC young professionals board and is a graduate of the JFS Ambassador Program.
